An active digital producer and consumer, Chris stays on top of emerging technologies and trends, to produce social content that resonates with audiences -- and he has the data to back it up.

In his three years producing social content for CTV's etalk, the brand's Facebook following grew more than 720%, while its Twitter/X following grew 270%. Over the two years he produced social content for CBC's Steven and Chris, he similarly doubled the lifestyle brand's Facebook and Twitter/X followings. 

Chris has extensive experience producing social content including video, tailored to specific platforms, including Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok.

 
 

Paid Social Campaigns

Chris has first-hand experience planning, crafting and optimizing paid social campaigns across platforms. During his time producing branded content campaigns at Postmedia, for example, he drove thousands of unique visitors to client-sponsored landing pages via paid social drivers, consistently exceeding industry benchmarks.

 

Live Video

In collaboration with etalk's production team, Chris co-produced numerous live digital shows for Twitter and Facebook, engaging fans in real-time content during the Oscars, the Met Gala, the Toronto International Film Festival and more. Chris contributed editorial content, coordinated technical setup and video publication, produced social promotion and orchestrated real-time engagement with fans. In March 2018, etalk's Live Oscars pre-show from the balcony at the Dolby Theatre reached an incredible 700,000 viewers on Twitter alone. 

 

Emerging Content Formats

As social platforms, trends and best practices evolve, Chris evolves his content with them. For example, during his time with etalk, he helped leverage the popularity of Snapchat filters, and Instagram’s “Stories” feature upon its initial introduction.

Executing social strategies from top Canadian newsrooms, Chris has been responsible for leveraging digital platforms to deliver up-to-the minute breaking news. He’s also planned and executed live coverage of awards shows, sports and other entertainment events to engage audiences in real time.
